Steve Benjamin started his career in 2008 as a marine guide on the baited Tiger shark dives in the Aliwal Shoal marine protected area, KwaZulu-Natal. With his academic background and a passion for understanding and observing the ocean wildlife through spearfishing and photography, he is able to help divers, photographers, videographers and production crews achieve their goals.
Through the years, Animal Ocean has advised and guided photographers and film-makers looking for that unique behaviour or location. From the BBC Natural History Unit seeking Sardine Run action in 2008, assisting on National Geographic magazine shoots or getting a passionate photographer up close encounters – we will get you the shot!
